Hi, Iām Verity.
I am a medical doctor based in Central Victoria who has come to yoga after various chronic health issues made me realise that my busy, achievement-based, perfectionist lifestyle was not sustainable!
I received my 200 hour yoga teacher certification through The Yoga Abbey and am excited to be able to share my practice with others looking for peace and restoration in the midst of our busy world. Yoga is for everyone - if my body can do it then yours can too!

about yoga
Yoga means to unite or to yoke, and was initially defined as the "establishment of harmony between the everyday self and its spiritual source". At Seeking Eden Yoga, we believe humans are made in God's image, and the source of every aspect of our being is Him, so yoga is a means of yoking ourselves to our Creator and Sustainer. This includes our body, through external movement, and our inner selves or soul, through contemplation, meditation and prayer.
what do i need to bring to a class?
You will need a yoga mat, clothes that you can move comfortably in, and a water bottle. A blanket is useful if you need extra padding under your knees or would like to cover yourself at the end of class. Yoga blocks are highly recommended to help support your practice - these can be purchased online or in major department stores, often for under $10. If any other items are needed for a particular session, you will be notified beforehand.
